If you are not aware of the federally mandated 13 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) Minimum effective January 23, 2006, and the R-22 HCFC Refrigerant Phase Out, you should be. As an example, the new mandate will require the physical size of outdoor units to grow 50% larger. Other changes will occur concerning shortage issues, service and repair costs, and a host of other matters that could have an impact on your business. So now is the best time to prepare for these changes.
